The Montgomery Botanical Gardens Board of Directors encourages the use of the gardens as a venue for events for residents and visitors of the river region. The gardens are for the enjoyment and benefit of all who visit this beautiful oasis of nature in our urban environment.
Recently Councilor Marche Johnson, District 3, hosted two events in the gardens and another will take place on September 29, 2024. Both events in June were well attended. On June 22 she hosted “LET’S STOP SUFFERING IN SILENCE: A CONVERSATION TO SUPPORT MENTAL HEALTH” presented by Dr. Joyce Lloyd-Davis, KK Middleton and Steven Garrett. On June 29 a gathering focused on “A MINDFUL META ART MEDITATION IN NATURE” guided by Professor Alana Taylor.
On September 29, 2024, Councilor Johnson will host “JAZZ IN THE GARDEN” from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. There is no Admission Fee. There will be food trucks and beverage vendors available for you to purchase refreshments. You may bring a folding chair or a blanket to enjoy the music.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come to the Montgomery Botanical Gardens on September 29 to enjoy an afternoon of music, refreshments, and visiting with friends and fellow citizens of our fair city
