At Montgomery Botanical Gardens, preparing for the Christmas season means “dressing” the lion sculptures with mantles of magnolia and red ribbons. Swags of fresh greenery and bright red bows are added at the entrance and provide a festive spirit as visitors enter for a stroll in the gardens. At the Wisdom Wood entrance to the outdoor classroom, another swag of holly and cedar greenery and red bows is displayed to offer a bright welcome as visitors step down to the gardens.
The holiday season is a great time to enjoy the gardens with a stroll to relax and enjoy being outdoors. Or take a run in the gardens to shed some of those party pounds you may have gained. Sit awhile on a bench or a glider and meditate on the year that is ending and the new year that will be here soon. Or just count your blessings and leave with a happy heart. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
